Writing is your relationship with your mind - Natalie Goldberg
Somewhere during my initial month at the Young India Fellowship (YIF), I realised in my history class of how writing is a critical weapon of thinkers. In going through Modern Indian history and reading about ideas of thinkers like Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, Dadabhai Nowrowjee, Jyotiba Phule, Babasaheb Ambedkar, Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi, I realised how their vision shaped modern India, how they were ahead of their time and how effectively they translated their ideas into writing.
In doing so and through my critical writing class, I realised the importance of writing. It was during this time that I coined these quotes given below that are inspired by both my teachers Mr. Rudrangshu Mukherjee and Ms. Ratna Menon both Faculty at the YIF, Ashoka University.
"Words are your mark on history."
"Writing is a form of engagement with your audiences beyond your reach"
This blog was a culmination of the strong desire to write and connect to audiences worldwide
